My name is Sabine. I'm a French retiree, in love with Iceland since my first trip to Iceland more than 25 years ago.
I have, with my husband, accumulated travels in Iceland, from 5 days Iceland itinerary to a few months travel.

In love of travel in iceland and with many experiences, we decided in 2011 to create the best accommodation in Northern Iceland, I named my guest house "Fagrafell", from icelandic word "Fagra" which means "beautiful" and icelandic word "Fell" which means "hill". Settled on a beautiful hill in the godafoss valley with an amazing view, it was an obvious name for the best guest house in north Iceland

We spent almost all our vacations in Iceland during winter, more often for cross-country skiing trips. Then we finally decided to try Iceland in summer tourism. Our stay in Iceland in summer, was like a rediscovery of this country that we already knew well, although we already knew where to sleep in Iceland, our stay was not comparable to the previous ones.

So we decided to come and settle in Iceland and build our own guest house. Passionate about travel and adventure, this country is an ideal playground. And our location on the Diamond circle in Iceland offers a privileged access to all the wonders of the region.
Located in the same valley as Godafoss, less than 4 km away we can see the mist of the waterfall from the kitchen window. It will be my pleasure to host you in this beautiful place.
